Drop the awkward letters

Copy the wheel and remove Q, X and Z if the game keeps grinding to a halt on them — or keep them and make them worth double. Vowels only, consonants only and a shortened alphabet for younger children are all a few edits away.

Are all 26 letters equally likely?

Yes, every letter is one slice of the same size, and the spin uses a cryptographic random source. No letter is weighted unless you add it twice.

The letters look small — can I make them bigger?

Twenty-six slices is a lot for one wheel. Removing letters you do not need makes the rest larger, and the linear and card views show the same wheel with more room for each label.
