Calling on someone is the moment a room decides whether you are fair. A wheel takes the choice out of your hands: the name is drawn in front of everybody, so nobody is picked on and nobody is skipped.

Add the whole list in one go rather than typing names one at a time, shuffle it, and start spinning. A teacher can set this up between two lessons, and the same wheel stays saved for the rest of the term.

Questions about this wheel

How many names can the picker hold?

A full class fits comfortably. Past roughly thirty entries the labels on the wheel get thin, so very long lists are easier to read split across a few wheels.

Can I stop a name from being picked twice?

Yes. Turn on removing the winner after each spin and each name is drawn at most once, so consecutive spins work through the whole list.
