Random Color Wheel

Draw it in this color, wear something this color, find an object this color before the timer runs out. A color picked at random is the start of a surprising number of games, and every slice on this wheel is painted in the color it names.

Give it a spin — nothing is saved until you copy it.

Games that start with a color

Art challenges with one color only, a scavenger hunt for something that matches, a party dress code decided on the day, a sorting game for younger children learning their colors. The wheel supplies the constraint; the fun is in what people do with it.

Build your own palette

Copy the wheel and change it: pastels only, the colors of a brand, the paints you actually own. You can set the color of each slice yourself, so the wheel always shows the color it will pick.

Questions about this wheel

Can I use hex codes instead of color names?

Yes. An entry is just text, so “#FF5733” works as well as “Orange”; set that slice to the same color and the wheel shows exactly what it picked.

Is every color equally likely?

Yes — all slices are the same size and the spin uses your browser’s cryptographic random source. Add a color twice to make it come up more often.
