Random Planet Wheel

Mercury to Neptune, each slice in a colour close to the planet itself. Spin it to hand out presentation topics, start a quiz round, or pick tonight’s planet to look up in the sky.

Click the wheel to try it — nothing is saved until you use it.

Classroom ideas

Give each group the planet the wheel picks and ask for three facts. Turn on removing the winner so no planet is drawn twice, and the class works through the whole solar system.

What about Pluto?

Pluto has been a dwarf planet since 2006, so it is not on the stock wheel. Copy it and add Pluto, Ceres or the Moon if your lesson covers them.

Questions about this wheel

Why are the slices different colours?

Each one is close to the planet’s real colour — grey Mercury, blue Earth, red Mars — which helps younger students remember them.

Can I use it for a space quiz?

Yes — spin for the planet, then ask a question about it. Show two wheels side by side to also draw which team answers.
